Wendy Farnham Ceramics

Bird slipware earthenware dish

Welcome to my website.

I have been making ceramics in my purpose built studio in a small Wiltshire village for several years. I obtained a Foundation/Access degree fom Swindon College before going on to achieve an honours degree in 3D Design (Ceramics) from Bath Spa University.

I enjoy making a range of earthenware ceramics, from quirky animal dishes and platters through to large sculptural forms based on ancient megalithic structures and burial sites.

Most of my work is hand built using a variation of coiling which involves pinching the clay together which results in a dimpled texture which catches the light once glazed. I also make thrown jugs, mugs and dishes on the potters’ wheel, which are then either slip decorated or transfer printed.

Please enjoy browsing through my pages.

I am in the process of setting up my online shop and if you are interested in any of my work or would like to commission a ceramic piece please email me.
